The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, but to make it that far you have to be disguised as baked goods. Cloak your belly in deliciousness with today's Groupon to Belmar Bakery & Cafe, located at 34th and Bell. Choose between the following options:

  • For $6, you get $12 worth of deli sandwiches and other café fare.
  • For $15, you get a chocolate-strawberry boxed bouquet arrangement (a $29.99 value).

Winner of CityVoter's 2009 Best Bakery award, Belmar crafts a mouthwatering menu of pastries, cookies, pies, and sandwiches made with freshly baked breads. Opt for deli eats to defeat hunger with grilled chicken-breast paninis ($6.99) and taste-bud-titillating grilled-cheese sandwiches ($6.29), or try the Belmar chef salad ($7.29) for a lettuce-filled change of pace. Innovative ingestors can order stuffed spuds ($4.99), which can be crammed with butter, sour cream, chives, bacon bits, and cheese; consumed with spoons or forks; and chewed in silence or to the tune of the Star Spangled Banner.

Reduce sweet-toothed valentines to tears with a box of chocolate-lined fruits. Like a four-armed Betty Crocker, dexterous duo Richard and Deana Zaccardo hand-dips a dozen white- and milk-chocolate-covered strawberries, and each is placed carefully inside a box for on-the-go gift-giving, making sure that the short shelf-life of these delicate treats creates a perfectly plausible excuse for eating the entire box without taking a breath or blinking.

About Belmar Bakery

After Richard and Deana Zaccardo realized their dream by buying Belmar Bakery in 2002, they continued to let their dream grow, expanding with a sit-down café and a Cake Land area dedicated to the design of their signature cakes. With such dedication to their craft, it's no wonder why the bakery was voted Best Baked Goods in Amarillo by the readers of Amarillo Globe-News for 10 years in a row. In the bakery, sweet aromas of pastries, cookies, and pies waft under customer noses followed by rich scents of brewing coffee from the café. Upon adding the café to their offerings, the Zaccardos expanded on their ambitions by including hot sandwiches, soups, and salads, and their Cake Land shows off their extravagantly decorated cake samples and a photographic history of how their cakes heroically toppled the tyranny of Candy Land. The cake area is also available for cake and cookie-decorating events for kids, as well as birthday parties.
