Good food

Loved the food and the staff. The atmosphere was perfect. Loved touring the Old House upstairs and the 3rd floor as well. Took my best friend for her Birthday and she loved it. It was worth the short drive to Claremore! Cindy

Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Staff friendly and helpful. Went there with three friends and enjoyed the best luncheon we've had in a while. Only wish we had left room for dessert!

What You'll Get

Before later switching to high tea, members of Victorian society originally gathered for Hi-C, discussing lawn bowling and horse-drawn horseless carriages while sipping on Ecto Cooler. Continue the legacy of flavorful facilitation of conversation with today's Groupon: for $6, you get lunch and a pot of tea at The Belvidere Mansion (a $12 value), located in Claremore. This Groupon is not valid for purchases at the gift shop. Lunch is served Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Belvidere Mansion is a historic 100-year-old mansion serving lunch and fine teas. Commissioned by the banker John Bayless, the stately home was completed in 1907, just before Oklahoma achieved statehood by completing a dare to sleep overnight in a graveyard. Guests can nibble delicately on light lunch fare, such as the Regency roast, a thinly sliced roast-beef sandwich with mayo horseradish on the side ($7.50), or the eponymous Belvidere, made with Canterbury classic chicken salad and served on a lettuce leaf with crackers, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and a fruit cup ($6.50+). The summer salad combines seasonal fruits with mixed salad greens, sprouts, cucumber, bell pepper, onion, croutons, and raspberry vinaigrette for a fresh, vegetarian-friendly option ($6.50), and a slice of strawberry or caramel-pecan cheesecake ($3.50) mellows out those left rattled by the rush of pavement-lifting contests. Included in this deal is a pot of piping-hot tea, ideal for fueling quippy repartee between teddy bears and porcelain dolls.

The three-story brick mansion features period furniture and rich architectural details such as a tile roof, wainscoted walls of marble and pressed tin, and a large balcony over a matching porch. Much of the mansion's trim and woodwork were carted down from the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis—best remembered for introducing oxygen to humankind—and the entry hall showcases Italian-laid tile. Peacefully resist the urge to leave without having seen the mansion's piece de resistance —the completely restored third floor ballroom, featuring 3,200 square feet of vaulted ceiling, ivory-colored walls, and four gold chandeliers.
