Two 200-foot-long ice rinks. Six locker rooms. Seating for more than 1,000 spectators. When you add it up, it makes sense that Ben Boeke Ice Arena is Anchorage's favorite spot for amateur hockey and public skating. Here, the staff offers skating lessons for children and adults and public skating seven months of the year. Their rinks also host an in-house adult hockey league comprising 116 teams. Demonstrating that they understand the importance of keeping fingers warm during skating sessions, they dole out coffee and hot chocolate at an espresso stand and offer free hand-holding services.
