What was the inspiration to start or run this business? Seattle has a history that is captivating, entertaining and sometimes a little naughty! This is especially true during the Wild and Rowdy Gold Rush years of 1897 to the mid-nineteen “oughts.” The Klondike Gold Rush changed the lives of tens of thousand of people, sometimes for better. It also transformed the city of Seattle in ways that seem unimaginable. The buildings that housed the saloons, gambling houses and brothels still exist.​ And the stories of fortunes won and lost, of strange inventions of necessity, of incredible courage, and plain old harebrained blunders deserve to be told. The Seattle Untamed tour was created to keep this history alive, and in so doing honor the con artists, gamblers, women-of-negotiable-virtue, tradesmen, and common folk who reshuffled the future of Seattle.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn’t cover? ​This is an ‘above ground’ tour; we do not visit any of the underground passageways that honeycomb the Pioneer Square neighborhood.
