Q:

Are children under a certain age free?

Lisa L.  asked on  Jan 15, 2014

A:

Yes, children under 7 are welcome at no charge, but could find a history tour challenging. For safety reasons, there must be at least one paying adult for every 3 children under 12.

Q:

What is the status of on street parking in this area, and what are bus connections from the Eastside?

wayne l.  asked on  Jan 14, 2014

A:

There is metered parking throughout the neighborhood. Metered rates are $3.00 to $3.50 per hour, with a two hour limit, and can be paid with a credit card. There is no charge for street parking on Sundays. You can find additional parking information at www.downtownseattleparking.com. This website contains an interactive map that show the location of multiple parking garages in the area, two of which charge $3.00 per hour and are within one block of the tour's starting location of 102 Cherry Street.

Q:

Can any part of the tour be offered in Spanish? Or do you have some written material in Spanish so a Spanish-speaking family member could accompany us?

Peter H.  asked on  Jan 14, 2014

A:

Siento, our tours are only offered in English at this time, and we do not have any translated or written materials. This will change at some point in the future. In the interim you may want to check out Bill Spiedel's Underground Tour. They have written materials available in several languages and offer a tour that is similar to ours, but I don't know if any their tours are conducted in languages other than English.
