Bennett’s Honey Farm began over 40 years ago in the peaceful Ventura County countryside when Red and Ann Bennett, seeking a slower pace of life, welcomed a swarm of bees into their backyard rather than removing them. This simple act sparked a passion for beekeeping, leading to the creation of a thriving honey business known for its exceptional quality and flavor.
Starting in Piru Canyon and later expanding to Fillmore, California, the farm became renowned for its pure, gravity-strained honey and sustainable practices. In 2011, long-time customer and skilled beekeeper Chip Vannoy took over, continuing the Bennetts’ legacy of crafting premium honey products that celebrate California’s rich floral landscape.
Honey is one of nature’s purest treasures, offering a natural sweetness infused with the flavors of the flowers and plants from which it originates. Bennett’s Honey Farm uses a gravity-straining process to ensure their honey retains its natural aroma, nutritional value, and fine taste, setting it apart from conventional methods. Each jar reflects the diverse floral landscapes of California, from earthy sage to bright wildflower notes. In addition to honey, the farm offers handcrafted beeswax products, including long-burning, naturally fragrant candles and luxurious skin creams made with beeswax emollients that moisturize and protect.

There are many reasons why Bennett's Honey Farm produces honey that's different from what you might find in your typical grocery store. First and foremost, Bennett's bees have a wealth of plant life to sip on. The bees buzz around wildflowers, clover, cacti, and avocado trees, and those unique flavors come through in the honey.
But what happens once the honey leaves the hives is just as important. Inside a solar-powered facility, the staff keeps the processing to a minimum so that the honey stays as natural as possible, without resorting to bottling it in containers made of sewn-together fig leaves. In addition to its pure, kosher, and organic honey, the farm also sells a range of bee-related products, from soaps and candles made from beeswax to health supplements made from bee pollen and royal jelly.
