Reviews
Phoenix New Times awarded Bergies Coffee Roast House “Best Coffee House, Southeast Valley” of 2009. Yelpers give the business an average of four stars, and three Yahoo! Locals give it a perfect five stars:
- There are a few reasons we fell in love with this place from the moment we saw it. First, it's run by easygoing 40-something siblings Bruce and Brian Bergeson, whose personable nature is kinda infectious. Then there's the fact they chose a deliciously enchanting cottage located smack dab in the middle of Gilbert's historic downtown (practically inches away from Joe's Real BBQ) in which to house their caffeinated cooperative. Oh, yeah, and the coffee's pretty damn good, too. And it should be, considering that they roast and grind their own freshly imported beans — which are organic, to boot — on the premises daily. The result: the richest cup of joe or café Americano we've tasted in a long time. After a few cups of the Bergesons' brand, we're ready to re-organize our CD collection, repaint the house, and take a brisk round-trip walk to Prescott. – Phoenix New Times
- I drive 20 minutes to go to Bergies Roast house and buy my coffee. The best place for fresh roast coffee. Brian and Bruce are so welcoming and have a nack [sic] for great coffee. I would highly suggest making a trip to Bergies for coffee...and a cinnamon roll. – patti, Yahoo! Local
- This place is great. It's small and quaint. The coffee is SUPERB!! I love the feel of the little "shack" when you walk in. The people behind the counter are very friendly and know what I like. The second time I went in there he already knew what I wanted. Now he starts making my coffee when he see's me drive up. I love it. – cakelady, Yahoo! Local
