What You'll Get
When “Man of Constant Sorrow” – from the film soundtrack of O Brother, Where Art Thou? – gave birth to a bluegrass renaissance not too long ago, most people associated the song with George Clooney and the Soggy Bottom Boys, but this Grammy-winning tune was actually a cover of bluegrass giant Ralph Stanley’s version of an old traditional. Billed as the Stanley Brothers, Ralph and his brother, Carter, were one of the defining acts in the formation of bluegrass music. An inductee of the International Bluegrass Music Hall of Honor and the Grand Ole Opry, this living legend is still picking his banjo in his distinctive style alongside his band, the Clinch Mountain Boys, and now you can catch them at Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club.
