About Big Pine Kayak Adventures
The abundance of natural splendor surrounding Florida's mangrove islands of the Great White Heron and Key Deer National Wildlife Refuges inspired captain Bill Keogh to dedicate his professional career to their beauty more than two decades go. He has lived and worked in the Lower Keys for more than 20 years, photographing Florida's breathtaking nature, as well as working as a guide and educator. His work was featured in National Geographic, The Nature Conservancy, World Wildlife Fund, and Florida Keys National Wildlife Refuges. Captain Keogh also co-produced the book by Jeff Ripple on the natural history of the Florida Keys. So, to say that he knows the mangrove islands in and out would be an understatement. Now, his Big Pine Kayak Adventures offers a unique lineup of tours, which allow for a close-up with sharks, rays, dolphins, turtles, and an abundance of amazing birdlife. All tours are designed in a way to adjust to clients' pace and expectations, leaving the unforgettable memories of interacting with the Sunshine State's mesmerizing nature.
