About Bigoudi International Salon
Once upon a time, Bigoudi International Salon was Bigoudi Japan, a company led by CEO Makoto Akita. More than a decade ago, though, Makoto visited Los Angeles for a hairstyling conference, and became convinced of the need to take her salon international.
Though the Woodland Hills salon still maintains firm ties to Japan, American customers can now get Bigoudi cuts and color without a passport. House stylists fly to Osaka often to master the latest Japanese trends, which gives them a fashion-forward edge when they return to the States. That being said, they'll still happily craft simple, wash-and-wear styles upon request, using products from top brands such as Moroccan Oil.
