Bikram yoga is a sequence of 26 postures and two breathing exercises completed in a yoga studio that is heated to 105 degrees with 40% humidity. This steamy series stimulates the transport of freshly oxygenated blood throughout the entire body, chomping up colorful blinking ghosts and cherry pods to score healthy points in every level of the circulatory maze. All instructors go through a rigorous nine-week Bikram training program to ensure all their students safely reach an ideal level of general sweatiness and bendiness. Each class is 90 minutes, and the schedule offers classes seven days a week in the morning and early evening. Classes welcome students of all ages (students under 18 must have consent from parental guardian) and experience levels, accommodating anyone from fragile tree branches to certified Stretch Armstrongs.
