What You'll Get
Yoga is one of the world's oldest forms of exercise, second only to holding the earth on your shoulders. Practice ancient athleticism with today's Groupon: for $30, you get a 30-day membership to Bikram Yoga Halifax (a $150 value).
Helmed by yoga teacher Kristin Johnston, Bikram Yoga Halifax strengthens students’ bodies and minds with sessions scheduled throughout the week. With the thermostat cranked to a warm, humid, and detoxifying temperature, students narrow their focus to sweat out their toxins and forge new, flexible frontiers through 26 positions while maintaining rhythmic, deep relaxation breathing and fond memories of family vacations to Mars. Aside from tackling poor posture and the rabid elephants of discontentedness, Bikram classes provide proven benefits such as assisting in injury recovery, tissue regeneration, illness relief, and enhanced flexibility.
Beginning March 1, the studio will be hosting a 30-day yoga challenge for practitioners who wish to immerse themselves in this transformative exercise. Challenge participants who sign up by February 29 will have the chance to win free memberships at Bikram Yoga Halifax, vouchers from local businesses, and a gift certificate for inner peace.
Though Bikram Yoga Halifax sometimes features a discounted price online, this Groupon still offers the best deal available.

About Bikram Yoga Halifax
During an interview with Halifax magazine, Kristin Johnston, owner of Bikram Yoga Halifax, stressed the value of her yoga studio's lounge as a discussion space. "It's so important that people talk about their experiences in the hot room,” she said, adding that, “We all struggle with something in that room and it is essential to have a space where people feel comfortable in sharing their experiences.”
The lounge helps people do just that. It’s a place where beginners and returning yogis alike gather around a two-sided fireplace to mingle after a stress-relieving 60 or 90-minute class.
During these classes, vetted instructors lead clients through full-body series, designed to target every muscle, organ, joint, ligament and system in the body, building strength and flexibility. Classes aim to improve posture, flexibility, concentration, and mental outlook. Johnston adamantly asserts that students will see their body change after 30 days, with a pronounced effect on their life after 60.
