About Bikram Yoga Mid Atlantic
As she walked out of the studio after her first Bikram-yoga class in 2005, Deborah Vojik knew she’d discovered something amazing. She eagerly began attending as many as sessions as she could, even offering to tidy up the studio twice a week in exchange for free classes. After nine weeks of training completed in 2006, Deborah earned her certification as a Bikram-yoga instructor, opening her own studio in 2012. She brings knowledge from her career as a registered nurse to the teachings she learned while studying Bikram.
Today, inside Bikram Yoga Mid Atlantic’s 1,625-square-foot heated room, Deborah and her staff of highly trained, certified instructors conduct sessions seven days a week. Upon the antimicrobial, hypoallergenic floors, the yogis lead students through 26 traditional postures as the higher temperature relieves muscle tension and causes bodies to sweat out toxins. To keep the atmosphere serene and focused, the instructors discourage cell phones and late arrivals.
