Q:

In the past I have used straightners. Between those and using a flat iron daily, my naturally curly hair does not grow like it use to. I haven't used a straightner in over a year and want to discontinue using them. I still have certain areas along my face that don't grow well. My hair is a little longer than shoulder length and I'm trying to grow it out. I have read that a Brazilian Blowout will help relax the natural curl if you still want to wear your hair naturally vs. continuing to use the flat iron to straighten. Is this true?

Kathy R.  asked on  May 8, 2013

A:

Brazilian Blowout is the MOST EFFECTIVE Professional Smoothing Treatment In The World. It is not a harsh straightener, it is a smoothing treatment that allows you to wear your hair naturally without using a flat iron daily that damages your hair over time. Brazilian Blowout actually repairs damaged hair over time. We will teach you how to use the correct after care products to maintain your Brazilian Blowout. We have the correct after care products. Using the after care products correctly, your Brazilian Blowout is easy to maintain, and will last three months and probably longer. We have customers that use the aftercare products correctly, that have maintained their hair four to five months.

Q:

I have heard of the Brazilian Blowout I just don't know any one that has actually tried it. Have you done many African American's hair with this treatment? My daughter and I have two entirely different hair textures.

Demeda J.  asked on  May 6, 2013

A:

We have done a few. We have done several bi-racial. Everyone is always happy with the results. Everybody's hair is different. The way to get the best results is by using the after care products because they contain some of the smoothing solution in each product. The technique is a little different for African American hair, but the results are the same.

Q:

Does the brazillian blowout work for all hair textures, ethnicitys and races? I have very fine natural tho hair will this be a good investment?

Dorothy H.  asked on  May 6, 2013

A:

Please explain what is fine natural tho hair? It works on all types of hair. It is a smoother, not a straightener. We have done over 200 Brazilian Blowouts.

Q:

I have short natural curly/frizzy hair. I have short highlighted hair (just had it highlighted about 2 weeks ago). Does the Brazillian Blowout work for short hair?

Kathy W.  asked on  May 5, 2013

A:

If your hair is long enough to use a flat iron on it, then by all means the Brazilian Blowout will work. Not only will the Brazilian Blowout smooth the curly hair, it will tame the frizzy hair.

Q:

I had a blowout done at a different salon in the past and my hair went back to being curly literally the first time I washed it after my treatment and I used the recommended (sulfite free) shampoo and condition and accompanying products. Have you seen evidence that your blowouts do actually last for 12 weeks?

Renee H.  asked on  May 5, 2013

A:

You have to use the actual shampoo and conditioner made by Brazilian Blowout. Also, their is a difference between Brazilian Keratin and Brazilian Blowout. Just using sulfate free shampoo and conditioner is not good enough to maintain your Brazilian Blowout, you have to use Brazilain Blowout shampoo and conditioner made by the same company, it actually has smoothing solution in them to maintain the smoothness of your hair. Many of our customers, which are using the Brazilian Blowout products, get 4-5 months between Brazilian Blowouts. You have to remember Brazilian Blowout is a smoothing treatment, and it gets better each time. The more you take care of your Brazilain Blowout, using the right products, the longer it will last.

Q:

I have stubborn gray hair should I color it before or after the Brazilian blowout?

Kathryn B.  asked on  May 4, 2013

A:

Definately the color should be done immediately before the Brazilian Blowout.
