Birrieria Loreto Mexican Restaurant introduces Blue Island diners to something they likely haven't tried before, despite the fact that Mexican restaurants are fairly ubiquitous in Chicagoland. It specializes in Zacatecan-style birria, a spicy goat stew served with diced cilantro, onions, and lime wedges. The eatery even ladles the goat stew onto tacos and tortas. The restaurant also creates more familiar dishes, including steak and chicken burritos.
