They have bands often during the week and they start playing about 7 PM rather than 9 or 9:30 at most bars. It's a fun place -- a little pricey, but excellent food & a nice atmosphere.

Wonderful atmosphere. I enjoy the live music they can have at times. Great food and enjoyable menu to choose from that is not your average stuff. Family owned and the owners are always in the bar being social with their customers.

What You'll Get

Bistros became popular in America after French diplomats visiting the Continental Congress insisted on dining outdoors, breaking Ben Franklin’s time-saving custom of eating while sleeping in the shower. Pick popular plates with today’s Groupon to Bistro Al Vino. Choose between the following options:

  • For $16, you get two luxury wine flights (up to a $32 value). An extra charge will apply for wine flights valued at more than $16 each.
  • For $15, you get $30 worth of upscale comfort fare and drinks.

Bistro Al Vino whets whistles with wine flights that integrate more than 30 varietals. Each flight rounds up four 2-ounce pours, organized by playful monikers such as Marilyn Merlot. Pinot Envy, which brandishes Californian and New Zealand wines, takes its name after Sigmund Freud’s theory that psychological development centers around one’s possession or lack of pinot noir. Red and white libations originate from California, Italy, Spain, Australia, and more.

Dinner diners can dig into small plates such as escargot ($11) or chicken pot pie loaded with peas, carrots, and lavender cream endorsed by a purple cow ($12). Entrees feature comforting, classic dishes infused with elegance. The oven-roasted game hen invites forks to waltz with madras curry, watercress, apple, and tzatziki ($21), and duck confit enchiladas ($19) fill patrons' heads with ideas for tastier garden-hose filling. Tuesday–Saturday, Bistro Al Vino typically offers live entertainment and dancing, creating an environment similar to a big-budget musical filmed in a restaurant kitchen.
