Bistro Burger - Multiple Locations: $8 for $16 Worth of Burgers, Classic American Fare, and Drinks at Bistro Burger. Choose One of Five Locations.

Eating American cuisine is like living the American dream—everybody wants to do it, but only the lucky ones wake up before drowning in a sticky sea of Cracker Jacks and Coca-Cola. Dine on dream food with today's Groupon: for $8, you get $16 worth of burgers and assorted classic American eats and drinks at Bistro Burger. This Groupon is valid at five downtown locations: on Mission Street, on Bush Street, on Sansome Street, on Drumm Street, and in Westfield Centre on Market.

Bistro Burger offers customers a tasty lineup of classic American grub meticulously fashioned daily from fresh ingredients. Stop by for breakfast (all locations except for Westfield) and snack on two fully customizable eggs served with home-fried potatoes and toast ($4.99), then nudge leftover chews stomachward with a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice ($1.75 small/$2.75 large) or organic coffee ($1.45/$1.90). The lunch menu offers a variety of handheld fare founded on tasty 6 oz. patties of free-range Estancia Beef, pasture-grazed on open grasslands with nary a feedlot or Mothra in sight. Sample the southwest burger, which upholds mild green chilis and jack cheese ($6.99), or discover burgery meatlessness in the Mexican veggie burger, a cow-free option crafted with avocado, salsa, and sprouts ($7.19).

Beer and wine is served at the Westfield location, and the Sansome, Bush, and Mission shops allow guests to chew on their thoughts outdoors. Most locations are only open during the week, although the Drumm Street location is open on Saturdays, and Westfield holds kitchen hours all weekend, so check the website and plan ahead if you're one of the rare humans that requires nourishment seven days a week.

Though reviewers have mixed opinions on the food, most contend that Bistro Burger is a great value. Yelpers give the Mission Street location an average of three stars and the Sansome Street location an average of 3.5 stars:

  • What appealed most to me about Bistro Burger was that I achieved exactly what I'd hoped to there: paying less than $10 for a lunch that still tasted good. – G T., Sansome Street location
  • When I've got a burger craving, Bistro Burger hits the spot. Menu has just the right number of variations on toppings and sauces to suit your mood. And the various chicken sandwiches on the menu are delicious as well. – Gary D., Mission Street location
