What You'll Get
One of the great simple pleasures of traveling abroad is stumbling across a restaurant frequented by locals, followed closely by bathing in gelato and loudly explaining why everything in America is better. Replicate that feeling with today’s Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of bistro fare at Bistro To Go.
Inspired by his grandmother's flair for flavor, Bistro To Go's owner J.B. Emery serves up a palette-pleasing menu of bistro grub and ready-to-bake market goods. Raze meat and bread buildings such as the smoked turkey sandwich ($7.45) and bistro burger with a 1/3-pound of char-grilled angus beef ($8.25), or get a smaller sandwich portion with a cup of the rotating soup of the day and salad for a Un-Trinity combo ($8.25). Like seeing a puppy give a kitten a Swedish massage, Bistro's homemade chicken and sausage gumbo warms the core ($3.95/cup), while a strawberry and praline salad makes for refreshing fare ($6.95). Some of J.B.'s other specials include entrees such as a slow-roasted chicken pot pie ($8.95) and market items such as a family-size portion of tender beef roast that can be picked up straight from the shelves or prepared ahead of time by Bistro To Go's staff of chefs and nimble elves ($25).
