What You'll Get
Food trucks provide the thrill of the chase with the promise of a sandwich at the end, just like the traditional Spring Wild Hoagie chase. Lasso lunch with today's Groupon: for $5, you get $10 worth of Moroccan and Mediterranean fare at Bistro Truck in Union Square.
Bistro Truck's Yassir Raouli concocts cuisine from his native Morocco within the confines of his four-wheeled cookhouse, dishing out a four-wheeled menu to lunchtime pedestrians in Union Square. The marrakech lamb delivers a lusciously juicy roast on a bed of couscous or rice ($7), and the dijon chicken combines a delectable dual-drizzle of mustard and crème fraiche ($6). Breadfellows can bond over Bistro Truck's finger-friendly heroes, busying hands with the sausage-stuffed merguez ($7) or the marinated skirt steak sandwich and savory tomato and onion charmoula ($7). Garden gourmands can also uproot tasty treats from Bistro Truck's vegetarian menu, restoring inner energy and depleted chlorophyll reserves with the stew-centric vegetarian tajine ($5).
Establish post-munching mouth oases with Bistro Truck's wellspring of beverages, including moroccan mint tea and café au lait ($1.50 each). Curious epicureans can follow the mobile restaurant's motoring exploits on Twitter, tracking Bistro Truck's updates regarding arrival time, daily specials, and acerbic gossip blogging on best- and worst-dressed sports cars.

About Bistro Shopp
For Yassir Z. Raouli, it all started with a food truck. The Moroccan-born chef launched Bistro Truck as a way to bring his creative take on Moroccan street food to the masses, and it quickly became a fixture in Union Square. Today, Raouli brings that same North African flavor to Bistro Shopp. Here, Moroccan tagines, couscous, and merguez sausage pair with inventive takes on American classics, such as the lamb burger or fries splashed with harissa aioli.
