Area restauranteur Mike Ciccaglione believes the success of an eatery is directly related to the team that runs it. So, when opening Black Cat Bar and Grill, he assembled an experienced team, including chef Marino Colonna of Il Giardino Ristorante and host and proprietor Michael Ciccaglione Jr., his son and a 15-year restaurant-industry veteran.
The group's all-hours gastropub keeps its doors open for breakfast, lunch, happy-hour, dinner, and late-night diners. Early risers are served pancakes topped with homemade fruit compote and omelettes stuffed with cheddar cheese and mushrooms. For lunch and dinner, chefs prepare a host of burgers and pub favorites as well as Italian meals, including a plethora of pasta dishes and gourmet pizzas with house-made crust and sauce. To complement meals, Black Cat's menu of libations includes specialty coffee drinks such as the Black Cat, a mix of Frangelico, amaretto, Kahlua, and certified-organic fair-trade Kicking Horse coffee.
