The server was very pleasant and had some good suggestions. The oyster selection was not at its best the day we went and there was no draft beer. Black W has an old fashioned, down at the heels bar feel but it was certainly welcoming and comfortable. Definitely a worthwhile visit but you need to know what to expect.

I had the oysters, calamari, and wings. All were very good. Very reasonable prices and with the coupon it was a great deal. Shady neighbourhood but not a problem and easy parking on Queen St.
