Black Rock Vintners
Drinking wine brings family members together, and so does making it. At least, that was the case for Anthony Izzo and his family. Anthony’s uncle first taught young Anthony the fundamentals of winemaking, and the two experimented with different grapes and techniques throughout the years. Anthony continued this tradition as he grew older by making wine in his basement. Each year, more of his friends and family put in requests for the wine. So, he moved out of his basement and into his current facility—Black Rock Vintners—a boutique winery where he creates fine, small-batch wines including a cabernet sauvignon, petite sirah, and pinot grigio.
