The chef crafts the menu for each cooking class based on students’ preferences, but always includes an entree accompanied by one or two appetizers, such as a soup and salad.
Black Tie Optional
Chef Peter Buck and team of gourmands at Black Tie Optional are like modern-day fairy godparents in the kitchen. They incorporate their slogan of "any menu, any venue" by doing the shopping, arrive at clients' doorsteps, craft attractive table settings and delicious meals, and clean up before disappearing into the night. Custom feasts range from expansive holiday-party banquets to intimate Valentine's Day dinners, and the cuisine is just as varied. Previous menu items include spicy bowls of gumbo, surf and turf plates served with grilled asparagus, and sweet desserts, such as cherries jubilee.
