What You'll Get
Astronaut cooks have made numerous attempts to wrangle hamburgers into space-ready meals, from dehydrated-pickle discs to vacuum-sealed burger bottles. Enjoy what our starry-eyed brethren never can with today’s Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of gourmet burgers and bottled drinks at Blanc Burgers + Bottles. Choose to visit either of their locations, on Jefferson Street or in Leawood. Buy two of today’s deal and double your hearty portion.
Blanc gives America's favorite bunned meat the red-carpet treatment by using gourmet ingredients and innovative recipes. Blanc's burgers run the gamut from the heartwarming familiarity of the Classic ($8), with lettuce, tomato, NY white cheddar, and homemade ketchup and mustard, to the pinky-waggling fanciness of the Au Poivre ($9), with its pepper-crusted patty, watercress, and creamy peppercorn sauce. Those looking to take a break from beef will enjoy options such as the grilled mahi mahi on a sesame-brioche bun ($10) and the spicy lentil burger ($7). Not content with just serving delicious hand-cut fries ($4), Blanc's also serves sweet-potato fries ($4) and truffle fries ($5) for those seeking the newest in fried innovations.
Representing the third “B” in the restaurant's alliterative name, an extensive selection of both soda and beer rounds out the menu. Finding your perfect burger-and-bottle pairing is a culinary adventure in and of itself. Avoid the monotony of a cola-crusted universe with selections such as Pineapple Fizzy Lizzy and Guava Jarritos, or make the meal potable with a Newcastle Brown or a sweet Woodchuck cider.

About Blanc Burgers + Bottles
At Blanc Burgers + Bottles, burger doesn’t just mean a basic grilled patty. In addition to American beef, there’s also hormone-free chicken, carnitas-style pork, and curried lentils among nearly 20 protein options. Chefs stuff or pile each with eclectic extras and housemade pickles. Hand-cut fries, beer-battered cheese curds and onion rings, and chicken wings marinated in housemade sauce make for marginally less elaborate sides. Though the options might seem overwhelming, servers with deep culinary knowledge acquired by sleeping on a copy of the menu every night are on hand to sort through them all.
Though the burgers take a wide-ranging, global approach to their flavor palettes, Blanc’s decor is decidedly space-age American. Stylized orange starbursts and flocks of bubbles decorate white walls around sleek furniture. Behind a long white counter recalling a luncheonette just opened in 1959, barkeepers pour wine, refreshing seasonal cocktails, and nearly 100 varieties of domestic, imported, and American craft brews, including steam beers, lagers, hop-rich IPAs, and specialty lambics. Even youngsters can hop on the craft-beverage bandwagon with more than 20 boutique sodas in flavors such as apple, blueberry, and pineapple, available with or without cocktail onions.
