What You'll Get
During Prohibition, bootleggers made their own booze by burying grapes underground or catching moonbeams in a jar of water. Make alcohol the easy way with today's Groupon to Blanshard St Winery, located on Burnside Road. Choose from the following options:
- For $89, you get a premium batch of red or white wine (up to a $186.59 value).
- For $99, you get a premium batch of champagne (a $216.59 value).
- For $49, you get a premium batch of beer (a $92.75 value).
Blanshard St Winery shares its rich winemaking customs with customers, touting an expanded repertoire that includes beer and champagne kits. Stroll into the expansive winery and select from the vast collection of cellar classic whites ($175.59–$186.59), cellar classic reds ($175.59–$186.59), champagne ($216.59), and beer ($92.75). Wine and champagne batches ferment enough grapes to produce 30 bottles (750 mL each), and each beer batch decants into 46 bottles (500 mL each).
After the selection process, the brews and bubblies soak in an airtight, computer-monitored automated washer that transfers bottles two-by-two onto their final resting rack. The entire process lasts 8–10 weeks for wine and champagne and six weeks for beer, giving the libations up to two full moons to shapeshift from werewolf into happy-hour companion. Blanshard St Winery furnishes the corks, shrink caps, and labels so that the proud parents can focus on coddling their intoxicating litter with bottles and luxury prams instead. Though this Groupon does not include bottles, you can bring your own or purchase bottles on-site.
