What You'll Get
For $21, this deal gets you a daytime or twilight cruise from Blue Moon Cruises in Chattanooga and Soddy Daisy, Tennessee (a $42 value).
Blue Moon Cruises gives passengers a unique look at the stunning terrain bordering the Tennessee River. A 70-foot Skipperliner cruiser conducts passengers on an assortment of river-borne trips, with an open-air upper deck and a lower deck featuring a climate-controlled escape from the elements. The environmentally inclined can choose three-and-a-half-hour eco-tours of either the Tennessee River Gorge (March 6–Dec. 18) or the Hiwassee Wildlife Refuge (Dec. 26–Feb. 27), while a two-and-a-half-hour evening cruise (May 1–Sept. 26) features a full barbecue buffet and narration that uses local history to enrich the sights from the decks. Lock cruises on Dec. 20 and Feb. 28 keep the 'cue but also provide five hours of scenic river enjoyment as they make the trip between the Chattanooga Pier and Sale Creek Marina in Soddy Daisy, TN. The Blue Moon features two restrooms, and a nature-savvy crew, some of whom were actually raised by wolves and hedgehogs, is available to help clear up wilderness-related queries and Chinese checkers disputes.
Tours depart from either the Chattanooga Pier or Sale Creek Marina, depending on the season.
Though Blue Moon Cruises has yet to receive many online reviews, four Trip Advisors give them 4.5 owl eyes:
