- $149 for guided kayak tour of Anapaca Island, valid on Saturdays and Sundays ($250 value)
Beginning at 9 a.m., guests board the Sunfish—a 53–foot custom-built boat for kayakers—to make the hour-long trek across the Santa Barbara channel to Anacapa Island before getting into kayaks and following the easy current to explore the island and its natural caves. Kayakers are equipped with a cave helmet and life jacket but it’s recommended to bring along a lunch for mid-day snacking. A brief instructional lesson will be provided before heading out and guides will be there to help along the way. Catch a glimpse of the kayaking tour in action..
Blue Ocean Kayaking
Shuttled out to Anacapa Island on the 53-foot Sunfish, Blue Ocean Kayaking paddlers can explore the natural sea caves in open-top kayaks that are carted out for them. Led by knowledgeable guides, tours navigate the surrounding waterways, giving guests the chance to spot dolphins, whales, and a variety of sea birds. Groups are then picked up by the boat at the end of their tour instead of having to hike back to a take-off point or paddle across dry land. Excursions are suitable for all ages and experience levels, and equipment and instructional presentation is included.
