What You'll Get
Lewis and Clark were both hobbled during their great expedition—Clark from resentment at his second billing and Lewis from a lego slipped into his hiking boot by Clark. Enjoy noncompetitive nature excursions with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $69 for a guided, one-hour Pony Express horseback ride with hot cocoa for two (a $150 value)
- $129 for a guided, one-hour Pony Express horseback ride with hot cocoa for four (a $300 value)
Blue Sky Adventures' seasoned guides and surefooted steeds lead riders across trails that wind up alongside Alexander Creek. After learning to mount ponies and whisper the secret password for "go" in their ears, sojourners set out through the sloping meadows and snow-dusted pine forests. Over the course of an hour, equine caravans trot through the pristine snow, sheltered by the pine boughs that form a canopy overhead, while sharp eyes look for tracks left by elk and moose. Afterward, toasty mugs of hot chocolate stoke belly furnaces. Tours depart Tuesdays–Saturdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.; adventurers should arrive 30 minutes before their departure time.
