Disprove common misconceptions with today’s Groupon: for $18, you get two tickets to the Bodies Human: Anatomies in Motion exhibit, located at the South Plains Mall on Slide Road (up to a $36 value). The Groupon expires on March 20, 2011, but the exhibit runs until March 27, 2011. Children under five are admitted free, and kids under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Children are admitted at the parents' discretion as the exhibit does involve exposed body parts.
Bodies Human: Anatomies in Motion explores the inner and outer workings of more than 100 authentic human specimens, displaying whole bodies, individual organs, and transparent body slices using a special chemical process called plastination. The exhibit teaches wide-eyed crowds a combination of physiology and anatomy, and gives folks a chance to inspect vivid views of actual muscles and bones, from the fibula to the heart’s “merging blood” traffic sign. Guests will also learn how certain lifestyle choices affect our health, and see the effects of different habits and activities, including the lungs of a smoker.
