Really nice office and staff
Gina L. · December 4, 2015
Very welcoming atmosphere, felt very comfortable and not rushed at all. Antonio had a nice and very calming demeanor and was very thorough in asking about what problems I was having. The treatment made me feel absolutely amazing almost instantly after. I felt very calm and relaxed the rest of the day and slept like a baby. I am quite familiar with alternative medicine and TCM, but this was my first time getting acupuncture and was an absolutely fantastic experience. The office is a bit out of the way for me but well worth the drive and I will definitely be back.

What You'll Get

Shattering all scientific understanding, it’s been determined that the knee bone’s connected to the thigh bone, the thigh bone’s connected to the hip bone, and they’re all connected to Kevin Bacon. Keep bones straight with today's Groupon to MaxHealth and Body and Soul Acupuncture on Wilshire Boulevard. Choose between the following options:

  • For $65, you get an acupuncture consultation, a one-hour treatment, and a one-hour massage (a $180 value).
  • For $69, you get a chiropractic exam, follow-up treatment, and one-hour massage (a $199 value).

MaxHealth, a chiropractic hub, houses Body and Soul Acupuncture, and the two join forces to dole out body bettering treatments under the watchful eye of founding doctor, Robert Pomahac. The stress-plagued can partake in the Chinese art of acupuncture, performed by licensed acupuncturist Antonio Whiteley. Using a gaggle of the more than 2,500 pressure points possessed by each personage, Antonio uses fine, sterile needles to stimulate the nervous system to release bliss-breeding endorphins to the muscles, spinal cord, and brain, helping the body bounce back with the resilience and charm of Flubber.

Achy anatomies opting for a chiropractic consultation begin treatment with a one-hour exam. Dr. Pomahac first learns the history of each plagued body part, even embarrassing pants-splitting stories from the tendon junior prom. Then he performs the necessary diagnostics, such as x-rays, digital posture evaluations, muscle scans, and lower-back lie-detector tests. Patients will then return for a second visit to hear the doctor's report and receive a personalized treatment. Both the chiropracticed and the needled receive a massage with MaxHealth's licensed massage guru, Ray Rochelle. The one-hour service caps off each treatment, peacefully smothering pain like a loving embrace from the Stay-Puft marshmallow man.

About Body and Soul Acupuncture

Licensed acupuncturist Antonio Whiteley found his passion for Eastern medicine in an unlikely place: a premed classroom at the University of Southern California. He was a student in the program when he realized other forms of healing were his calling, so he left USC for Samra University and earned a master's degree in acupuncture and Chinese medicine. He followed that up by studying microcurrent technology and completing acupuncture orthopedics courses at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Today, he and his staff at Body and Soul Acupuncture help patients rehabilitate and manage pain during acupuncture, microcurrent therapy, and stress-release treatments. They augment each treatment with Evergreen Herbal products and host clients inside warm treatment rooms with soothing music from the Amazon rainforest's latest mixtape.
