Q:

Hello, I am trying to decide which pass to purchase. On the FAQ page, it says the Great Shap Bootcamp is 1 QVR class and 1 bootcamp class per week. And the Body Makeover is 2 QVR classes a week. But, what is the difference between a "QVR" class and "Bootcamp" class? Is one more toning vs Cardio? One for people just starting to get back in shape vs already in shape? Or a difference in intensity? Etc. Sorry if I missed the explanations...I couldnt find them on the site so not sure which i would prefer.

A:

the QVR is a total body workout with weights, the non impact bootcamp is more cardio-conditioning with small amt of weight usage. if you purchase the 6wk makeover = 2 QVR sessions per week the 6wk non impact bootcamp = 1 QVR + 1 Bootcamp session each week. if you have low muscle tone makeover is best, some clients purchase one of each start in makeoever then graduate up to the Bootcamp after 6wks!

The QVR is a 60-minute Small Group Personal Training Session consisting of total body weight training for maximum fat-burning & toning. 15-minute MANDATORY SELF WARM-UP period is built into this 60-minute session time to maximize your 45 minute total body workout with your Personal Trainer.

The no-impact GreatShape Bootcamp is a 45-minute Fat-Burning Cardio session. All NON-Impact exercises – no running/jumping/deep squats or lunges, so it’s easy on the knees & back. Perfect for the BEGINNER or INTERMEDIATE client. Get the benefit of 2-3 cardio sessions on your own with 1 BOOTCAMP session!The 6-Week BOOTCAMP Program includes 1 BOOTCAMP Training Session per week & 1 QVR Training Session per week. 60-min BOOTCAMP block includes a mandatory 15 min self-led warm-up & stretch period before the 45 min BOOTCAMP Session begins.

Does Todd work at the JCC. somehow I know his name and might have had him for PT. I need low impact exercise since I have lower back problems after back surgery.

you must be cleared to actually work out post back surgery - these programs are small group personal training NOT one on one so if you have been cleared the 6wk makeover program with 2 QVR total body workouts with weights per week may work just fine - not the bootcamp.
