What You'll Get
When Aaron Neville Chamberlain seized power during the English Civil War, he promised better flexibility, straighter postures, and a stronger core for every English citizen. Taste historical perfection with today's Groupon: for $29, you get two beginner Pilates Reformer classes and two Barre classes at A Body In Balance Pilates Studio and Barre Las Vegas (a $79 value) on Fort Apache Road. The studio offers classes for participants of all skill levels, and was voted Best of Citysearch in 2008 and 2009.
Pilates is a low-impact, total-body discipline that uses resistance machines, stretching, and controlled breathing patterns to make the body looser, lither, and healthier. With today's Groupon worn as a sweatband, sidle up to the well-lit studio space and try Pilates Reformer and Barre classes to work your core muscles down to their molten lava cores. Utilizing an exercise device hewn from wood and good intentions, the eponymous Reformer class uses a system of leather straps, weights, and pulleys to put your soul sack through its paces. Barre classes combine core strengthening, yoga, Pilates, ballet barre work, and orthopedic stretching to create a unique workout method, performed at a motivating, fat-burning pace, which focuses on precise movements to create lean, flexible, healthy forms. With characteristically small classes, you'll receive lots of one-on-one attention from an instructor, whether you're splayed on the floor or strapped up in a machine. Consult the schedule to find class times that work for you.

About A Body in Balance Pilates Studio
Unlike fashion trends, one-hit-wonders, and tattoos that say “I voted for Nixon,” flat stomachs and well-defined muscles never go out of style. Fueled by Joseph Pilates's core-focused philosophy and signature workout regimen, the certified instructors at A Body in Balance Pilates Studio strive to keep abs and limbs toned, leading group classes, private sessions within a mirrored studio stocked with row after row of reformer machines and other equipment, and preparing new instructors for BASI Pilates certification. When not helping beginner- and advanced-level students increase their muscle definition and balance, the staff spends its time and money donating to national and local organizations such as Three Square, Positively Kids, Woman’s Club of Summerlin and local schools.
