“Get in shape” hovers near the top of many New Year’s resolution lists, right next to “deal with raccoon infestation” and “figure out how raccoons get trapped in the TV.” Stop watching so many TV shows starring raccoons with today’s Groupon: for $29, you get 12 women-only boot-camp classes at BodyTime (up to a $240 value). Choose between the following scheduling options:

  • 12 indoor boot-camp classes, valid starting January 2, 2012
  • 12 indoor boot-camp classes, valid starting February 1, 2012 Once the Groupon is activated, all sessions must be used within 90 days. Parking is valid for boot-camp attendees.<p>

After retiring his jersey and whistled rendition of “Sweet Georgia Brown,” former Harlem Globetrotter Elijah Hobley channeled his sports knowledge into training college athletes at Dillard University and everyday ladies at BodyTime. One-hour classes run through a heart-pumping routine of cardio and body weight resistance exercises, all demonstrated by Elijah to ensure that students perform moves with coach-approved technique. Each session aims to help women better their bods by strengthening, conditioning, and ousting fat without the permanence of a tattooed-on eviction notice. Classes meet at 5:30 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; each boot camper must provide her own exercise mat, towel, and three- to five-pound dumbbells.
