Unlike a sand witch, a sandwich doesn't have the power to turn men into sand and sand into poisoned glass. Let a sandwich cast a devastating spell on hunger pains with today's Groupon: for $7, you get $15 worth of sandwiches, bagels, and other deli fare at Bogie's Deli. This deal is only valid at Bogie's South Mendenhall Road location.

Bogie's harnesses the East Coast delicatessen experience through its savory menu of sandwiches, salads, homemade soups, bagels, and sides. Sandwiches are made fresh, often sporting a chompable configuration of Boar's Head meats and cheeses, as featured in the honey turkey delight and roast beef deluxe (both $6.49). Using homegrown produce and family recipes, Bogie's also concocts homemade soups, which vary by the daily spoonful ($3.99 bowl, $2.99 cup). Every morning, deli artisans rise early to fashion fresh-baked bagels and boil up farm-raised chicken breast for menu items such as the grilled chicken salad ($6.49). Delectable dessertables, such as brownies, lemon squares, and chocolate chip bars ($1.49 each), round off the homemade touch and subdue overzealous sweet teeth.

Bogie's on South Mendenhall recently began serving new breakfast items that aren’t available at its other locations, such as a wild west wrap with eggs, bacon, cheese, onions, and green peppers in a tortilla ($3.99) and biscuits and gravy ($2.89). To breakfast in true New York style, try the lox bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese, capers, onion, and tomato ($5.49) and a coffee ($1.39).

Reviews

Although online reviews for Bogie’s Deli are still growing, the restaurant was named Best Deli by Memphis magazine:

  • It's no big surprise that Bogie's Deli is the best deli in town. With multiple locations scattered around the city and an accommodating catering service, they're bringing their signature sandwiches, bagels, fresh salads, and homemade desserts to all Memphians. – Hannah Sayle, Memphis
