what's the process of the keratin treatment? some salon just put some serum on the hair and leave it for a while, and call it a 'treatment'. how does it different from the brazilian blow out?

The Brazilian Blowout is a specific product that is used for the Keratin treatment. At our salon we use Global Keratin, a high end high quality protein treatment that has the lowest level of formaldehyde in the market. All keratin treatments have formaldehyde ours has the lowest amount and also come in 3 strengths to better suite your need. A 0% that smooths frizz but leaves curl. A 2% that smooths frizz and reduces curl. And a 4% that removes frizz and relaxes curl to its maximum possibility. The process varies very little from the Brazilian Blowout. Firstly we cleanse your hair with a Special detoxifying shampoo by Global Keratin that removes all surface build up and purifies the hair. Secondly we apply the product section by section and comb it through to ensure even distribution. We then fallow to the blow-dry which begins the smoothing process. After the hair is completely dry We iron the hair intensely at 450 degrees which is essential to the process in small section to create a semi permanent seal with the keratin and your hair. Many clients always fear that the high heat will damage their hair in this part of the process but the keratin product creates a protective barrier. The treatment remains in your hair for 3-6 months. Post care is also very easy. Don't wash your hair for 48 hours after the treatment during which time you don't use any hair bands or clips or hats or anything that can create a dent in the hair. if a dent is created no worry we can easily remove you will just have to come in and get that done. After the 48 hours make sure you use a sulfate free shampoo, Our Salon carries 5 Aveda sulfate free shampoos which we can recommend the best for your hair type. after which you can continue to style your hair as you always have.
