Making a good sandwich, like removing a child’s head from between stair balusters, requires delicate handling and a lot of mayonnaise. Marvel at skilled condiment usage with today’s Groupon: for $11, you get a soup and sandwich combo for two at Bonchaz (a $22.18 total value). The soup and sandwich combo includes the following items:

  • Any sandwich (up to a $7.45 value)
  • Side soup (a $2.40 value)<p>

Bonchaz sprung forth from the city’s farmers markets, winning bellies over with fresh-baked pastries, fair-trade French press coffees, and hearty sandwiches. Now greeting guests out of a sunny, WiFi enabled storefront, Bonchaz chefs load fresh Italian-herb baguettes with sumptuous fixings such as wild smoked sockeye salmon. Black forest ham and cheddar entice tongues away from frozen flagpoles, and teeth sink into layers of double cream brie and avocado. Soup selections are constantly in flux but always feature a vegan option. Though not included in this Groupon, patrons can try the namesake Bonchaz bun, milky dough stuffed with fillings such as banana walnut and chocolate truffle.

After building a loyal fanbase at the farmers' market, Bonchaz set up its own shop in 2010, unveiling a tasty array of baked goods, savoury baguette sandwiches, and aromatic french-press coffee. Taking its name from a Mexican-French milk-bun pastry, the café outfits its signature treat in an array of decadent flavours kissed with a hint of coffee and lovingly torched to a golden-brown crust. The speedy kitchen staff rolls out the fluffy pastries alongside an ever-changing lineup of soups as well as sandwiches filled with smoked salmon, pulled pork, and smooth, creamy hummus.
