- $9 for three Groupons, each good for $5 worth of coffee and treats ($15 value)
The word boomerang conjures images of something being sent out into the world, but eventually coming back to the sender. That's the overriding idea of this non-profit hybrid coffee-and-consignment shop too: Boomerang sells gently used art, books, home decor, furniture, and other goods, then splits the profits 50/50 between the consignor and various local charities. It's a win-win situation: donators get to feel good and make a bit of cash. If they really want to pay it forward, they can spend their newfound gains at Boomerang's cafe, which sells signature coffee drinks, smoothies, and snacks (including gluten-free and vegan options), with partial profits again going to charities. The shop is also home to a cool tree house for kids to explore, and nearly everything in the shop, from the shelves to the decor, has been donated or repurposed.
