Q:

How long is the train ride? About how long does it take to go through the museum?

Sally M.  asked on  Jan 2, 2013

A:

The train is an hour and forty-five minutes from start to finish. The museum could take up to an hour to go thru. The museum is open before the train leaves and after as well. What some people do is look at half of the museum before the train and finish the museum when the train returns.

Q:

This is a round-trip train ride, is that correct? If so, where does it leave from and where does it get to? Thanks.

Dudley B.  asked on  Dec 31, 2012

A:

The train is round trip. The train leaves from Boone Iowa and you travel thru the Des Moines river valley. You go across the BASS POINT CREEK HIGH BRIDGE, the Des Moines river bridge and down into the valley. The train will stop briefly at Fraser and then you will return back to the station in Boone. The train is an hour and forty-five mintues.
