Mustafa and Fikriye Paca, the owners of Turkish Kitchen, hail from the coastal city of Mersin, Turkey, a place they honor daily by introducing American diners to the authentic flavors of its cuisine. They transport their guests across the globe by spinning spits of doner kebab, grilling skewers laden with meat, and blending creamy hummus to pair with freshly baked lavash bread. They even whip up sweet treats, such as rice pudding and baklava, to conclude the meal. Diners that are lucky enough to swing by on Friday or Saturday evening can watch belly dancers swivel their hips to a catchy melody or the abstract sound of a falafel ball frying.
