Boss Bar & Kitchen
In the heart of Koreatown sits Boss Bar & Kitchen, a restaurant that pays homage both to the neighborhood's culture and classic bar food. The menu opens with signature Korean dishes, including kimchi pancakes, udon noodle soup, and yakitori skewers with chicken, shrimp, or short ribs. But there's quesadillas and blooming onions, too, both of which would pair nicely with the international draft beers.
In fact, the 30-foot bar is stocked with plenty of international spirits, including 30-year bottles of Ballantines and bottles of soju. It also serves up creative cocktails, such as the Hawaiian Tropic, made with Ciroc coconut vodka, pineapple juice, and grenadine—a drink that, much like importing a truckload of sand into your living room, makes you feel as if you're on vacation.
