The Boston Film Festival hosts new movies, celebrity sightings, and award ceremonies, this year touching down at the commanding but comfy Stuart Street Playhouse Theater. Boston Film Festival

Luminaries including George Clooney, Aaron Eckhart, Brittany Snow, and Uma Thurman have walked the red carpet at the Boston Film Festival over its nearly three-decade history, promoting the smaller films and labors of love that may otherwise have passed under the radar. From year to year, those might include foreign films that peek into underexplored corners of the globe, documentaries that explore social issues, and indie comedies and dramas that draw on Boston’s own vast reserves of ambiance, supplied by historic settings and their inexpensive ghost extras. Celebrity photo opportunities and panel discussions welcome guests deeper into the world of filmmaking.<p>

Customer Reviews

This event was amazing. The red carpet was small, but intimate and the movie itself was fantastic. I especially loved that the actors and staff of the film sit in the same viewing room as you. They weren't separated from the general public by any sort of special section either. The main actor for the movie that I saw ended up sitting just 3 rows behind me!
