With 175 voices and a six piece orchestra, the Boston Gay Men's Chorus presents its latest concert, Circle of Life, an elaborate performance featuring song, video and more. As entertaining as it is inspiring, the show features music that includes Elton John's "Circle of Life" from The Lion King plus the East Coast premiere of "#twitterlider" -- a lighthearted song cycle comprised of Tweets about life. The night ends with Joshua Shank's newest work, "Capable of Anything," a commission based on the group's recent Middle East tour. The piece ends with a triumphant anthem to LGBT rights with words from the Supreme Court's ruling on marriage equality - a message the chorus learned upon its arrival in Istanbul.
BGMC welcomes children and families to our performances. Everyone who enters the theater must have a ticket; lap sitting is not permitted. Many children can remain quiet, attentive, and seated for a performance, but you know your child best. No persons under three years of age are allowed in the performance hall.
