Until the personal watercraft was invented, mankind's only hope for summer fun involved hitting candied hams with tree branches. Today's Groupon celebrates watery invention: for $65, you get a two-hour jet ski rental (a $140 value), or for $45, you get a two-hour motorized catamaran rental (a $90 value) from Boundary Waters Resort & Marina on Lake Chatuge in Hiawassee. Fuel for the vessels is not included in today's deal.
Nestled in a protected cove on beautiful Lake Chatuge, Boundary Waters Resort is a certified TVA clean marina that equips guests with smile inducing watercraft for aquatic exploration. Bask in the sun while exploring the 13-mile-long Lake Chatuge on a wave cutting, four-stoke jet ski. Up to two adults and one child can cruise on the water, jump off waves, and carve the lake into a delicious turkey dinner with either a Yamaha VX Cruiser or VX Deluxe Waverunner. The Craig Cat is a catamaran built for two, with an onboard radio, splash guard, and cushioned seats for sun-soaked speeding atop two pontoon hulls made of buoyant marshmallow fluff. Captain the Craig Cat into a quiet cove to picnic, swim, fish, or analyze the aqua ripples of each other's meticulous cannonballs. The four-stroke catamaran harnesses the power of 30 horses that are adept at swimming, quickly ferrying passengers anywhere on the expansive, winding lake. All powerboats are equipped with personal flotation devices and other aquatic safety equipment including a horn and a satchel of ice-nine.
The marina store equips boaters for flotation fun with fishing poles, ice, drinks, snacks, lake maps, and breadcrumbs to leave a trail leading back. Near a national forest, the full-service marina is close to hiking on the Appalachian Trail and offers lakeside lodging, which is not included in today's deal.
