In working with me you will set and accomplish goals in a way that is empowering and exciting, work to achieve and maintain your ideal weight, understand and reduce your cravings, increase your energy levels, feel great in your body, learn about new foods and how you can easily incorporate them, improve your personal relationships, and discover the confidence to create the life you want.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
My health journey began with my own personal healing. I had suffered with stomach and digestive issues my entire life, causing me to always have an extremely poor relationship with food. I was so afraid of getting sick, that I would only eat foods I considered to be "safe", many of which were not healthy at all. At 19 years old, after being hospitalized for a stomach-ache, I was diagnosed with IBS (or a spastic colon), as well as a hiatal hernia (a tear in the esophagus where the stomach pushes up into the chest causing heart burn and discomfort). My doctor immediately prescribed me 3 pills a day, which would alleviate any of my symptoms going forward. But for how long? I knew there had to be another way. I started exercising (boxing, running and yoga to be exact) and changed the way I was eating. I started to eliminate dairy and gluten while incorporating whole, unprocessed foods. I lost 20 lbs and was able to get off of all my medications. Eight years later I am still free of medication and now I help others from all over to change their relationship with food and get healthy because I truly believe that food is medicine. It changed my life, and hopefully I can help change yours.
What do you love most about your job?
I love working with people to help them reach their best and happiest self. Seeing someone be taken off their medication, or smile bright because they fit into their skinny jeans is what makes this worth while to me.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
For me, being able to help someone who is struggling with their relationship with food and by changing that, bettering someone's quality of life is the best reaction I could ever ask for.
