Brats Brothers opened with a mission to bring gourmet sausages to hungry Californians. The owners already had a ready-made love for German dishes, but as they researched for their restaurant menu, their tastes expanded. In addition to traditional Teutonic sausages made with veal and pork, they offer vegetarian options and some truly exotic fare, including wild boar, smoked kangaroo, and smoked alligator. Their sides, appropriately, share a cultural inspiration with their main attraction; the menu includes a Bavarian liverwurst spread and sauerkraut, as well as American influences such as tater tots.
