Honoring National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Breathe The Cure Conference assists in the fight against cancer and other ailments with a day’s worth of classes, lectures, and presentations on breathing techniques, meditation, and yoga. Over the course of the day’s events, well-known presenters such as Gary Quinn, Amy Garratt, and Julie Byrd show participants how to use reiki, Ayurvedic psychology, and other holistic practices to unite body and mind against cancer and pets’ mind-control abilities. The conference will also include music by two-time Emmy Award winner Michael Brant and Purple Songs Can Fly, a performance by the Houston Ballet, and a Thai-inspired yoga and massage class.
Attendees should arrive at the conference with their Groupon on hand, and are advised to bring a lock for safe stowing of personal items, changes of clothes, and spare pairs of lungs in the facility’s lockers. This Groupon does not include admission to the keynote lecture with Barry Estabrook, the author of Tomatoland.
