What You'll Get
Completing a DIY project can be one of the most rewarding feelings in life, even if it does eventually end with your being torched and pitchforked by a mob of enraged villagers. Bring a drinkable, delectable creation to life with today's deal: for $29, you get a Brew Crew Party Pass for one person—which includes one case of beer per person, use of brewery facilities, and more than three hours of Brew Master guidance—at Brew It Up! Personal Brewery & Grill (a $59 value). The Groupon also covers personalized labels as well as a flight of four tasters from the draft beer lineup and a bar appetizer.
Brew It Up! treats teams of up to 12 people to a massively variegated panorama of brew-party options: ales of pale, red, brown, or whiter shades, wheat beer, malt-bomber bocks, hoppy pilsner, dark European lager, and imperial stouts. Beer styles for each event are pre-determined. Over three hours, you and fellow hops hobbyists will learn how to brew, mix, and bottle whatever beer you choose. The brewing party creates enough delectably malted barley liquid to fill two batches, which as you'll remember from grade school is slightly more beer than a firkin but less than a puncheon. Brew It Up! also has a restaurant and bar on-site, so grab a menu in case drink making proves to be thirsty, hungry work.
- “Oh God, this is a total beer-nerd situation,” observed my dining companion, eyes darting around the shiny new digs of downtown Sacramento’s latest brewpub addition, aptly called Brew It Up! It’s more than just a name; it’s an exhortation. – Lark Park, Sacramento News & Review
- It was a great experience and the knowledgable [sic] brewing staff made it even better. We love our beer, applied our own unique label and are handing out to friends. – Steve A., Yelp
