I'm sad cause I have been here 4 times but the last time I was there the wait was forever they kept saying it was because they had 2 wedding parties but they should of had more staff it took us probably 2 hours to get our food then the food was not that great very small portion the dessert was excellent I have to say. Of course the atmosphere is very nice!

Food was very, very good. If you have a big appetite don’t expect to be full, it’s about presentation, not volume. Even though we did not do the 5 course meal, the entire meal still took 2 hours. We can recommend the Elk and Filet Mignon.

About Briarhurst Manor Restaurant

Pikes Peak overlooks Briarhurst Manor Restaurant at the South Entrance to Garden of The Gods, and the pink sandstone Tudor-style manor was constructed as a private summer home for Manitou Springs town founder Dr. William Bell in 1876. The English country architecture showcases elegant flourishes such as 11 wood-detailed dining rooms with tiled fireplaces and dark-wood boiserie, and a garden room where sunlight streams through towering stained glass windows. The gorgeous setting, along with its gourmet menu and gracious staff, led to Briarhurst Manor being named 1 of the 100 most romantic restaurants in the country according to OpenTable's 2012 and 2013 Diners' Choice awards.

The cuisine matches the interior’s opulence: Executive Sean Evans glazes duck-shank confit in a gooseberry cassis, and augments the flavor of Colorado lamb chops with chestnut fig jus. Cabernet sauvignons and chardonnays from Napa Valley and malbecs from Argentina punctuate the restaurant's extensive and carefully cultivated wine list.
