Tadpole (ages 3 months-3 years) and Starfish (ages 3 years and older) introduce first-time water-goers in a gentle manner to soothe anxieties and increase confidence. Swimboree (ages 3 months–3 years with parents) Seahorse (ages 1–3 years without parents) and Minnow (ages 3 and up) teach wee swimmers basic water-survival skills, such as the back float. Turtle One is an advanced water survival course that teaches propulsion skills for survival. The Turtle Two class focuses on freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly maneuvers honing more structured swimming skills in older kiddos. British Swim School's Shark courses enhance stamina and speed and teach even more demanding strokes, such as the butterfly and little-known mountain-goat flail.
