Brix Wine and Spirits’ expansive stockade of locally produced, hard-to-find libations beckons visitors to open its floodgate of flavors during 60-minute classes that focus on specific adult drinks. During each weekly class, up to 12 participants coat their lips with up to six samples of the course’s beverage of interest, cleansing their palates between sips with snacks that also build dams around gold molars. A beer master descends from his throne to host beer and cocktail sessions, including an Introduction to Craft Beers on March 3, Beer 101 (Ladies Only) on March 17, and Understanding IPAs on April 28. Vine enthusiasts, meanwhile, follow the direction of a sommelier during wine classes, learning how to establish their own wine preferences on March 10, or how to play matchmaker between wine and food during Principles of Food and Wine Pairing on April 7. Afterward, attendees can put newly acquired knowledge to the test by taking advantage of 10% discounts and quizzing onsite barrels about their treasured cargo.
